What's the difference between a custom cabinet & a semi-custom cabinet?
Custom Cabinets refer to cabinets that are made completely to the client's order including any dimensional, functional or a finish specification. They are often produced by smaller companies specializing in high end, exclusive product and may use rare or exotic woods for their production.
Semi-custom cabinetry is less popular term however it's applicable to a wider range of product. Simply put, semi-custom is everything that is not custom, making it a majority of the cabinet lines on the market. Semi-custom cabinetry simply means that the box sizes are pre-determined and typically come in 3" or sometimes 1/2" increments.
